Gentamicin is an antibiotic that can be used for the treatment of bacterial infections including urinary tract infections, bone infections, pelvic inflammatory disease, pneumonia, sepsis, and endocarditis. Uses

This medicine is also used in treating Gram-positive such as Staphylococcus. It is also used in the treatment of soft tissue infections, urinary tract infections, and respiratory tract infections. This medicine is also helpful against Yersinia pestis that may cause plague. But it will not treat a viral infection such as common cold, flu, and many more.
